Roof Glazing at a Horticultural Facility, Congleton
Project Overview
Our involvement in the horticultural facility in Congleton began with a collaborative effort alongside the Architect during the pre-tender stage. The project focused on designing and installing two duo-pitched greenhouses tailored for a large-scale medical cannabis production facility.
Design and Fabrication
We installed 600m² of Traditional patent glazing featuring 6mm clear toughened glass. The structural steel framework required intricate internal finishes to conceal industrial elements, which we meticulously crafted to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the interiors. Additionally, complex decorative finials were integrated into the ridge positions to complement the overall design scheme.
Ventilation System
To support the optimal cultivation environment, we incorporated 168 opening ventilators equipped with a weather control system. This bespoke solution was essential for maintaining precise climate conditions necessary for successful cultivation operations.
Delivery and Outcome
The Congleton horticultural roof glazing installation was executed to our high standards, meeting both technical specifications and aesthetic requirements. Our team ensured timely delivery, satisfying the client’s expectations and contributing to the seamless functionality of the horticultural facility.
This case study highlights our comprehensive approach to designing, manufacturing, and installing patent glazing systems tailored for specialised horticultural environments, ensuring both functionality and visual harmony within the architectural context.
